Summer’s here again! For families in the Tampa Bay area, that means record-breaking heat indexes and afternoon thunderstorms. Keeping children engaged during the hottest, wettest months of the year is a challenge, particularly for parents who have children with special needs
Here are some of our favorite summer programs designed to expand your child’s social, physical, emotional, and cognitive skills:
General Florida Listings For Special Needs Summer Camps
Camp Boggy Creek: A year round camp for seriously ill children. They offer week long summer sessions for children and family retreat weekends for the whole family. There is no charge to the children or families.
Camp Wego: Offers camping and all-inclusive travel programs for travelers 6 and older with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
